At mittelmaier.co.uk I am committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how I collect, use, and protect information about visitors to this website.

What I collect

This site uses Umami, a privacy-first analytics tool that I host myself, on my own server. It sets no cookies - which is why there is no cookie-consent banner - and it builds no profile of you, here or across any other website.

For each visit it records the page you looked at, where you arrived from, your browser, operating system, device type, screen size and language, and an approximate location (country, region and city). Your IP address is used only to work out that approximate location, and is then discarded. It is never stored.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is recorded at all.

My web server also keeps standard request logs (page requested, time, approximate referrer) for security and troubleshooting.

If you use the contact form, the details you provide (name, email, message) are sent to me so I can reply to your enquiry.

How I use it

• To understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site and improve it.
• To respond to enquiries you send via the contact form.

Sharing

I do not sell or share your personal data. The analytics software runs on my own server and the data never leaves it: there is no third-party analytics provider, no advertising network, and the software's own usage reporting is switched off.

Your rights

1. Access: request a copy of any data I hold about you.
2. Correction: request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete data.
3. Erasure: request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal requirements.
4. Objection: object to processing for certain purposes.
